Listen to your friend, but subject them to rigorous screening.

Believe me, there is no such thing as “wealth” in the sense that someone you’ve said “hello” to just once needs to know about your successes or the details of your private life (unless, of course, there is a financial interest involved). 🫵🏻

If you have 5–10 friends who consistently prove their affection, consider yourself lucky; you possess valuable assets—like time—that simply cannot be bought.

Also: 😅

I wanted to remind you that when getting married, the “sickness” mentioned in the “in sickness and in health” vow doesn’t just refer to the flu;

That the “healing” (şifa) in the phrase “May God grant healing” isn’t limited to physical health but encompasses a much broader, holistic well-being;

And that the “goodness” (hayır) in phrases like “May it be auspicious” (Hayırlı olsun) refers to powerful cosmic blessings beyond our comprehension…

So, do mind the words that leave your lips. 👋🏾🙄

The Turkish language is like a rubber band; it stretches wherever you pull it. ⚠️

To be continued… 😂
