What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?
I have 3 different answers to that question since I have been living in various perspectives, so let’s see:
- Keep your brain busy with learning new skills. You can’t have negative feelings when your brain is focused on something else 😎. 👇🏼 I know it sounds cliche, but the trick is to do for yourself, even if it’s easy af🙂↔️. As you might have guessed, I had a lot of thoughts on my mind, so I distracted my mind on online courses/ writing/ and for the sake of me being a single man, online dating, and it’s ridiculously confusing to swipe because you have to guess whether Natalie wasn’t Nate before 😂.

- Keep your body active with physical activities, and it will keep your brain active as well, leading to healthy feelings 😉. Bonus: if you’re mad at something, try to do it cautiously, and your mind goes relaxed ☺️
- This one was my younger self’s favourite because he was a social butterfly and thought social connections were just as essential as technical skills 😒: engaging with new people and friends. That guy hasn’t done that for more than 7 years!😂 Well, independently 🙋♂️
Nevertheless, my independent self should have a stronger mental strength to search for escape from negative feelings, because I have learned my lessons
