I had to write this post because I happened to hear lots of real stories about the patients’ families who abandoned their survivors because of various reasons:
– The financial costs associated with the tbi/ stroke-MS, etc. patients are unreal for the people who reside in developing countries, astronomical costs ( almost more than half of the tbi incidents happen in developing countries)
– The long-term isolation from the social life is hard
– the survivor could eventually give up at some point in the recovery so the family could say, “Well, fine by us!” assuming that they are probably more exhausted than the survivor then, but that’s not an excuse!
– the worst category of the family that I heard from my therapists is the one that receives financial support from the government for their survivors’ expenses but spends on their personal needs and leaves the survivor home alone
The world has many lunatics and selfish souls, and governments and health specialists usually exploit their existence because dependant “ patients” are seen as a liability to society 🤬. (by the way, I haven’t experienced such incidents, thankfully- 😍)
But my ongoing healing process proves that if you choose to be a “good “ person, miracles will eventually follow you.
I wish all the “ good patients “ are/ will receiving/ receive compassion with good care from their families/ circles
I love the great people who I call my family and being family is much more complex than having the same blood in your body
Also, I’m thankful for the lovely people who I believe the Greater Mind sent/ has sent/removed from my life beautifully
Btw, I haven’t stopped my fight, test, and healing process gratefully 😍
