Speaking fluently has been perceived as the most foundational skill for the modern human for centuries; nonetheless, according to posts that I stumble upon on socials, listening is classified as a primary soft skill in the digital age that has been enhanced by blockchain and AI, and the revolution has not even started yet.

Thankfully, the human mind has infinite learning ability, but most people are trying to catch up with the speed of digitized life and getting lost in the process. They assume hearing is the same as listening because humanity is experiencing attention span reduction with all the Shorts and Reels.
On the other hand, the traditional education system forces students to memorize various information that they are taught in 45-minute lectures, and ironically, some of the students probably watched videos during the lectures.

Hypocrisy will stop when people gain the proper and healthy perspectives and awareness.
